"An excellent question!! That process has, to my knowledge not been fully divulged to anyone or undergone any clinical, peer-reviewed trials in the US to determine effectiveness. Our societies have discouraged us from engaging in treatments such as this because they have not been scientifically evaluated in the US. The term "mesotherapy" means trying to treat or dissolve fat with injections. Quite typically, the effectiveness of a medical treatment is inversely proportional to the amount of advertising used to promote it. I would advise waiting until there is an approved and accepted type of injection treatment for fat. I do not do "Lipozap" because it is a name coined for one specific type of injection. If it is still around in another year, then perhaps it will have been investigated. I would also check on the credentials of the doctor or find out who exactly administers the "Lipozap" treatment to each patient."

This majic wand really worked. How I first learned about Ultrashape Contour I

Ultrashape has no needles, is painless, and it does work. And I've heard from real, happy Ultrashape customers and they are happy that they tried it. It is not lipozap. Lipozap is injections whereas Ultrashape uses ultrasound to melt fat. Ultrashape is not lipodissolve nor fig.com , hope that helps you.

Well I first read about Ultrashape in Allure magazine over 2 years ago, and could not wait for the USA FDA approval! I think this may and will replace liposuction for 1000s of people who do NOT want surgery, but do want to lose a few inches. It really was painless.

In my research I have a picture of what I started with, at 5'11" size 14 + stomach with flat tire.

My results with Ultrashape . .

Well because of Ultrashape, I can NOW get into my FAVORITE floral dress in the pic below. Due to chemotherapy and 7 surgeries from cancer in 2005/20006, I could not put this dress around my waist as I had gained a tummy from medical menopause. I was so depressed, tried the gym, tried walking hours every week, triedocbootcamp 4x, everything! And nothing would get rid of my stubborn menop. stomach fat! Nothing! So that is why I think Ultrashape will work for anyone, as it did work for this former post-menopausal, big, stubborn tummy of mine.

But now, I was lucky after researching all about Ultrashape and found my new majic wand called Ultrashape, which came to my rescue . .

"Want to get rid of your stubborn fat bulges without endless spinning classes or going under the knife? A new fat-fighting procedure billed as liposuction without the risks is fast becoming popular at "rejuvenation clinics" and "medi-spas" throughout the country. Lipodissolve, as it is widely known, [or fig.com ] www.fig.com entails injecting small amounts of soy lecithin and bile salt directly into problem areas on the hips, waist, thighs, and buttocks, and voilà! the fat supposedly melts away. Sensing the next Botox, doctors from pediatricians to dermatologists have taken a weekend seminar and opened fat-dissolving clinics. "What once was a dream is now a reality," claims the website of LipoNOW clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz. "Expect to lose between 1 to 2 inches of fat with no invasive surgery," promises MedSculpt, a lipodissolve provider in Rockville, Md.

If it sounds too good to be true, that's what the competition thinks. The "body sculpting" procedure, virtually unheard of in the United States two years ago but practiced in Europe for decades, has raised the hackles of plastic surgeons, who argue that removing fat surgically is the proven option. Last month, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery put out a statement saying that the scientific evidence does not exist to show that injection fat-loss treatments do any good or that they're safe. Ross is seeking to get her money back. Jean Shepherd, fig.'s vice president of marketing, said in an E-mail that in such a situation, "the patient would be entitled to a refund and it would be processed in a timely manner." The company and the industry, she said, continue to study why some people don't respond to treatment."

I did ultrashape and got satisfactory results. It definitely doesn’t get rid of large amounts of fat but if you workout and eat healthy and still have trouble spots it’s great.

It was not painful at all and I went back to normal activities immediately.

I have only done one session but I might do another one just to get more ripped. I would only recommend it to people who want to fine tune. as far as not being fda approved, the fda is a pawn of special interest groups so I’m sure they are in no hurry to approve a procedure that doesn’t require medication, hospital stays, anesthesia, and is a fraction of the cost. Several countries that are far more advanced and cautious about plastic surgery have approved it. it’s been 3 months and I’ve had absolutely no side effects. I encourage everyone to do their own research, but my experience was positive although not that dramatic.

In my research, I have clinic names, address, website, and office phone numbers for UltraShape in Canada. The offices are in Toronto, and Vancouver. And more places in Canada will offer Ultrashape soon. Too exciting for the Americans in the midwest that have been waitingggg .
My friends in Ohio and New York all want to go up to Niagra Falls this summer and get their Ultrashape session, but it may be a couple more weeks or months until there is an Ultrashape option in Niagra Falls. But Toronto is not that far from the border and if avaiable now!

May 23, 2007 *Update


My 2 friends have now lost 2" inches from their waist, after 1 treatment at Dr. C's office in TJ Mexico. (I lost over 4.5 inches and I had 3 treatments in Jan, Feb, and March.) And I've kept them off.

They went to Tijuana Mexico and tried Ultrashape. They are excited, and over the moon that it did work for them! They are both paying customers, like me just fyi. One is veryyy grateful, because before she saw my results, and until recently, she was realllly close to getting liposuction surgery with the 4 weeks plus of downtime, bruises, etc. and also thought of lipozap and lipodissolve.

But, she did not want surgery, and she thought, well I will wait and see how much it costs. Well now she is thrilled and wearing a dress that she has not worn in over a year, like me, too exciting, and WITHOUT sugery, choosing the wand instead. I am glad that I could help them AVOID surgery and also avoid lipozapinjections yuck.


So now I think that this WILL replace liposuction! Why get cut on, when the wand really does work, and it worked for them. They are all soo excited!

UltraShape: More Non-Invasive Liposuction
It seems that the market for non-invasive, non-suction, liposuction continues to pick up steam with the release of the UltraShape. This device is similar to the LipoSonix because they both utilize focused high intensity ultrasound to disrupt subcutaneous adipose tissue, and both appear to have scientifically sound research to support their claims. However, the UltraShape has added an "optical tracking and guidance system" for improved outcomes.

Therapeutic Transducer (the wand that is magic, for me)
The UltraShape™ patented transducer delivers focused ultrasound energy to the subcutaneous fat layer. Specific, pre-set ultrasound parameters ensure that only the fat cells within the treatment area are targeted and that neighboring tissues such as blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue remain intact. The hand held device also contains an acoustic feedback mechanism that verifies optimal acoustic contact during the treatment.
Advanced Tracking and Guidance System
The real-time tracking system guarantees treatment precision and homogenous treatment results. A camera captures the treatment area and a software algorithm maps the three dimensional treatment zone. The treatment zone is then divided into a grid. The tracking software next guides the user along the grid ensuring that each treatment point on the grid is covered. The safety mechanism within the tracking system monitors treatment to ensure it is performed only within the treatment area. It also prevents treatment outside the marked zone, and makes sure each treatment point is treated only once.

Treatment
The UltraShape™ treatment takes place in the physician's office after consultation between physician and patient. The physician first examines and marks the treatment area. Then, while the patient lies back on a comfortable Contour I treatment bed, an operator using a round, hand-held transducer (converting electrical energy into ultrasound energy) gently delivers focused therapeutic ultrasound energy over the marked region to selectively and safely disrupt fat cells. The entire procedure is guided by UltraShape's advanced tracking technology which ensures smooth, uniform contouring.

What happens to the fat?
During the UltraShape treatment, the membranes of the fat cells are disrupted. The fat cell content, primarily comprised of triglycerides, is dispersed into the fluid between the cells and then transported through the vascular and lymphatic systems to the liver. The liver makes no distinction between fat coming from the UltraShape treatment and fat originating from consumed food. Both are processed via the body's natural mechanisms. "

Why did I make a blog???


Well, after researching Ultrashape online for more than 1 year, I found it verrry hard to get any information from anyone who had had an Ultrashape treatment.

I did not know if Ultrashape or liposuction would be better for me. And I realized that there are soo many women, not just cancer survivors, also looking for something just like this, and want to know now if it really does work! (And it was so frustrating for me to not get any answers about this brand new technology, so I decided to share what I found with others this new technology.)


And I like teaching technology, blogs, spanish, and esp. truly enjoy finding new tools like this majic wand that could make my flat tire tummy go away without surgery, so now a month later and many emails later from all over the world inc. USA, Mexico, China, New Zealand, UK, Spain, South Africa, London, Japan, Prague, New York, Tijuana, San Diego, San Bernadino, Denver, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Ohio, California, Tiajuana, India, etc. about my experience with UltraShape, here are my findings.

Well now, I am so glad the I spent less money than liposuction would have cost me on this new option called UltraShape. And I had no pain, and it will not come back clumpy like after liposuction cottage cheese can and does. I know now it worked because I went from a size 16 dress size to a size 12, in just 2 months. And my waist in pants is a size 12, but my untreated thighs in pants is a size 14. What's important is that I only treated my waist area, so that is HOW I know it worked for me, as I lost inches ONLY exactly where I got treatments.

My results with Ultrashape . .

Well because of Ultrashape, I can NOW get into my FAVORITE floral dress in the pic below. Due to chemotherapy and 7 surgeries from cancer in 2005/20006, I could not put this dress around my waist as I had gained a tummy from medical menopause. I was so depressed, tried the gym, tried walking hours every week, tried ocbootcamp 4x, everything! And nothing would get rid of my stubborn menop. stomach fat! Nothing! So that is why I think Ultrashape will work for anyone, as it did work for this former post-menopausal, big, stubborn tummy of mine.

But now, I was lucky after researching all about Ultrashape and found my new majic wand called Ultrashape, which came to my rescue . .
